Autonomous vehicles could save the workers’ compensation industry billions of dollars by reducing accidents, according to the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
Approximately a third of every job in the country requires some driving, according to an article NCCI posted to the Insights section of its website. Nationwide, driving-related job classifications account for about 25% of workers’ compensation payroll and 50% of premiums.
