The Travelers Cos. on Tuesday reported second quarter net income of $557 million, a 6% increase from $524 million in the prior-year quarter.
For the first half of the year, net income was $1.35 billion, up 13% from $1.19 billion in the first half of 2018.
Workers’ comp earned premiums for the quarter were $950 million, down from $973 million in the prior-year quarter, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
