Ohio will become the 20th state with a one-year statute of limitations for workers to file injury claims when House Bill 27 becomes effective Sept. 29.
Claimants' attorneys say the changes are an erosion of benefits, but the National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio said it championed halving the statute from two years to get workers treated and back on the job sooner.
