Major workplace injuries and workers’ compensation claims both fell last year, according to the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission 2018 annual report.
The report shows 44,561 major workplace injuries reported last year, which compares to 58,904 reported in the 2017 annual report. The total claim count fell to 46,278 in 2018 after increasing to 48,007 in 2017 from 47,609 the year before.
