An Ohio manufacturer faces $59,000 in fines from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for failing to protect workers from machine hazards.
OSHA said it cited Voss Industries in Cleveland for 12 serious and one other-than-serious safety violations on Aug. 7. The company allegedly failed to protect workers from operating parts of power presses, gear assemblies and riveting machines and failed to inspect cranes, hooks and hoist assemblies at required intervals.
