A Bayville, N.J., trucker has been placed on probation for three years after pleading guilty to illegally collecting more than $16,000 in workers' compensation benefits.State Attorney General Paula Dow said Thomas Gallo, 55, also was ordered to pay full restitution to Freehold Cartage. Gallo pleaded guilty Dec. 7 to third-degree theft by deception.Dow said Gallo admitted collecting $16,821.84 in benefits between Feb. 5 and Oct. 6, 2008, from Freehold Cartage while working for another company.Gallo agreed to repay Ace America the benefits he collected while working.Source: Attorney General&...
