TDI to Use New Survey Results to Track Performance of Health Care Networks

Surveys of up to 4,000 injured workers will be completed by Wednesday and then used in a report to document the performance of health care networks regarding access to, and satisfaction with, medical care, return-to-work and health outcomes, officials said. In 2005, the Legislature passed House Bill 7, which made sweeping reforms to the Texas system. In addition to creating a Medicare-based fee schedule and a drug formulary, it authorized the use of health care networks certified by the Department of Insurance to treat injured workers, and ordered the agency to measure the networks&rsquo...
