Emergency Action Changes Who Can Appear before WC Commission

The Governor of Oklahoma approved emergency action changes to rules relating to who would be allowed to appear on behalf of businesses in front of the Workers’ Compensation Commission in order to be in compliance with another law she had signed two years ago.  Before the emergency action was approved this past April, Oklahoma allowed non-lawyers to represent companies before the Workers' Compensation Commission. The new rule, adopted on March 23 this year and approved by Gov. Mary Fallin just over a month later, allows only attorneys licensed and in good standing...
