AG Sues Car Wash for Alleged Wage Theft and Comp Fraud

State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman is suing a Brooklyn car wash for alleged wage theft and underpaying workers’ compensation premiums. The AG’s complaint alleges that U.S. Auto Wash, which does business as Tropical Breeze Car Wash, cheated more than 150 employees out of $540,000 in wages and $30,000 in benefits, and failed to pay its fair share of workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance contributions.
