A California appellate court upheld a prison employee’s conviction for insurance fraud. Case: People v. Jones, No. F085205, 03/14/2024, unpublished. Facts: Tiffinie Marvell Jones started working for a state prison in May 1995. She held various administrative positions in the years that followed, including a brief stint as the liaison between injured employees and the workers’ compensation insurance company for the prison.
