Man Sentenced on Sex and WC Fraud Charges

An Ohio man sentenced to prison for sex crimes will have plenty of time to think about repaying the Ohio workers' compensation system for a double-dipping conviction.

Joseph Wilson, 32, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to eight years in prison after his conviction on gross sexual imposition. He also was convicted of workers' compensation fraud and must pay more than $2,900 to a former employer, and $3,500 to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, according to a local news report.

The bureau received an anonymous tip in late 2017 that Wilson was working on a horse farm while collecting disability benefits from an injury he reportedly sustained while working at Rent-A-Center, the news report said.
