Provider Ousted After Pleading Guilty to Health Care Fraud

The New York Workers’ Compensation Board announced last week that it has removed one medical provider from the state workers’ comp system and reinstated another. Dr. Mitchell Skolnick’s authorization to treat injured workers and to perform independent medical examinations was reinstated, effective Wednesday. Skolnick’s authorizations had been temporarily suspended Jan. 8.
