Physician Phone Consultation Services Sues Medical Board over Emergency Rule

The Texas Medical Board is accused in a lawsuit of declaring an invalid emergency rule to require doctors to meet patients face to face before prescribing a controlled substance, according to Courthouse News Service. Physician telephone consultation provider Teladoc sued the medical board on Jan. 20 in Travis County Court alleging violations of the Texas Administrative Procedure Act.
