New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo vetoed a bill that would have expanded the use of massage therapy for injured workers, halting what some said was a welcome trend toward more types of providers in the workers' compensation system.
Cuomo on Friday vetoed S5421, which would have added massage therapists to the list of authorized providers, making them eligible for reimbursement from insurers.
The governor's veto memo was not available Monday, and his office could not be reached.
