The California Assembly’s fiscal committee unanimously approved a bill that would require employers to provide “immediately accessible advocacy services” for workers injured by acts of terrorism, after finding the measure does not come with a large price tag.
An analysis of AB 44, by Assemblywoman Eloise Reyes, D-San Bernardino, says the measure would result in “minor and absorbable costs” for the Division of Workers’ Compensation to adopt regulations.
