Roofing Co. Fined $125K for Fall Dangers and exposed Power Lines

A roofing and construction company was cited for willful neglect after investigators found multiple workers being exposed to fall hazards, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  Tip Top Roofing and Construction was cited with six violations altogether, including two willful violations that exposed workers to hazards while re-roofing a residence in DeKalb, Illinois.  Workers were at risk of falling close to 22 feet and didn’t have proper access to roofs because their ladders weren’t long enough, according to the OSHA citation.  There w...
