A federal judge postponed the date by which the former owner of Pacific Hospital of Long Beach and its chief financial owner will have to start serving their prison sentences for convictions related to a spinal surgery kickback scheme in Southern California.
U.S. District Judge Josephine Staton on July 31 approved a motion by the U.S. Attorney’s Office to continue the surrender date for Michael D. Drobot, to Sept. 14. Drobot, the former owner of Pacific Hospital, was scheduled to start serving his 63-month sentence Monday.
