Fire Truck Manufacturer Cited for Hazards

A Wisconsin fire truck manufacturer faces $77,000 in penalties from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for exposing workers to amputation and fall hazards. OSHA said it issued citations for one willful and one serious violation to FWD/Seagrave Apparatus in Clintonville after inspecting the plant in April and finding that machine guards were not in place, exposing workers to the operating parts of press brakes. In addition, the company had exposed workers to fall hazards of about 12 feet from working on top of trucks and did not have potable water available at all ...
