The California Department of Insurance will distribute $34.9 million in workers' compensation fraud-fighting grants to 37 district attorneys' offices for fiscal year 2016-17.
The insurance department allotted the same amount of money for grants last year. Distribution has changed little, with Los Angeles County continuing to receive the largest share — $6.7 million, up 3% from last year -—followed by San Diego County with $5 million, up 0.8% from last year.
Orange County will receive $4.2 million, up 4.5% from last year.
