OSHA Deems Roofing Contractor a 'Severe Violator'

A Massachusetts roofing contractor that allegedly exposed workers to falls of 26 feet from an unguarded roof is facing $188,760 in fines from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The contractor, A S General Construction Inc. of Framingham, has been placed in OSHA’s Severe Violators Enforcement Program, the agency said in a news release on Tuesday.
