The Killeen Independent School District’s workers’ compensation premium will increase by nearly $58,000 because of the number of claims filed during the 2013-14 school year, even though claims dropped slightly from 2012-13, according to the Killeen Daily Herald.
Killeen had 739 claims filed in the last school year, fewer than the 755 filed in 2012-13. However, 2012-13 saw an increase in claims of more than 100 from 2011-12.
