Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed six attorneys to the board of magistrates who hear workers' compensation cases. Five were reappointments.
Snyder appointed John Housefield, of Haslett, to replace Timothy McAree, of Rockford. Housefield, a workers' compensation defense attorney, has been practicing law in the state for 37 years. He was most recently an attorney at McGinty, Hitch, Housefield, Person, Yeadon & Anderson P.C. He holds a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
