A former corrections officer who pleaded guilty to felony theft for receiving workers' compensation benefits while running a construction business out of his home was ordered to pay $97,352 in restitution, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox announced.
Benjie Leroy Christensen, 52, was also ordered to serve 10 years in state prison, but the sentence was suspended on the condition he repay Montana State Fund for the cost of indemnity and medical benefits he received from 2008 to 2014.
