Revisions Proposed to Domestic Worker Classifications

The National Council on Compensation Insurance has proposed revisions to the classification of domestic workers in its basic manual. NCCI is proposing that the revisions apply to new and renewal workers’ compensation policies effective on and after July 1, 2019. NCCI filed “Item 01-TX-2017 – Revisions to Domestic Classifications” on Nov. 16 and amended the filing on Dec. 4 by submitting Exhibit 4, which revises national Appendix E to establish Code 0908 in Texas.
