The Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that the audit standards required of claims administrators in California will tighten in 2017.
The Profile Audit Review performance standard for audits conducted in 2017 will be 1.47885. The PAR standard for 2016 was 1.51082.
Claim shops that receive a score equal to or less than the performance standard will be required to pay any outstanding compensation, but will not face administrative penalties. Shops that exceed that score will be subject to a heightened Full Compliance Audit, or FCA.
