The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation has proposed new rules to establish certification standards for case managers used by insurance carriers for non-network workers' compensation claims effective Sept. 1, 2011. The rules would establish a requirement for a case manager to obtain certification from a national accrediting agency in one of six certification categories: case management, case management administration, continuity of care, disability management, occupational health, or rehabilitation case management.
