Joseph Jacob II received workers' compensation benefits, including medical care, after allegedly suffering a work injury.
SAIF Corp. paid the benefits to Jacob until it determined he had not actually suffered a work injury.
State prosecutors charged Jacob with first-degree theft of money and theft of services for obtaining medical care by the "use of deception."
