Drop the Chatter When Correcting Filing Errors, Department Says

In keeping with Gov. Bruce Rauner's 2016 "Cutting the Red Tape" initiative, the Illinois Department of Insurance has proposed a rule change that would let businesses drop the narrative when correcting filing errors. "The proposed amendments remove a superfluous requirement for a narrative discussion of a company's reason to refile corrected data about workers' compensation insurance coverage after the company makes an erroneous or incomplete filing," an explanation of the proposed amendment reads.
