The Oregon Workers' Compensation Division confirmed the Sept. 10 meeting date for an advisory committee working on rules to require the payment of lump-sum permanent partial disability awards in certain circumstances.
The rulemaking advisory committee is drafting regulations to implement House Bill 2802. The bill requires carriers and self-insured employers to make a lump-sum PPD payment when the injured worker waives reconsideration of a closure notice or the award becomes final by operation of law.
The WCD confirmed that the committee will meet from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sept. 10.
