Amerisafe founder Millard Morris resigned from the workers’ compensation carrier’s board of directors at the end of 2022.
Morris founded the company in 1985 and served as chairman, chief executive and principal shareholder until it was sold to investors in 1997. He served as a director until the company went public in 2005, then rejoined the board of directors two years later in 2007.
His resignation was effective Dec. 31.
“I know that the company is in good hands and will continue to excel as it has in the past,” Morris said in a statement.
