OSHA Proposes $56,400 in Fines for Contractor who Failed to Ensure Wearing of Hard Hats

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing $56,400 in fines against a home improvement contractor in Hamburg, New York, after discovering safety violations including a lack of hard hats at a worksite. OSHA alleges that the company, the Hamburg-based Kevin Burke Home Improvement, was cited for two willful and five serious safety violations.
