The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division on Wednesday adopted a temporary rule describing what will constitute a reasonable investigation into claims for COVID-19.
The temporary rule will be in effect from Oct. 1 through March 29, 2021.
Workers’ compensation carriers are already required to conduct a reasonable investigation, as defined in OAR 436-060-0140, before denying a claim.
