Titans, Former Center File $114,000 Settlement

Eight-time Pro Bowl center Kevin Mawae and the Tennessee Titans Friday reached a $114,000 settlement in a workers' compensation claim, according to The City Paper in Nashville.Mawae, who retired from the NFL in 2010, and the Titans filed a joint petition in Davidson County Circuit Court, the newspaper reported, and Mawae will receive a lump sum for injuries sustained in the 2008 and 2009 seasons.The payment will compensate for injuries to Mawae's shoulders, elbows, wrists, right thumb and lower back, the newspaper reported from court filings.
