A federal judge has once again postponed the sentencing of former Pacific Hospital of Long Beach owner Michael D. Drobot, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy and kickback charges in 2014.
Like the five previous decisions to postpone sentencing, federal prosecutors said in court filings that the latest delay is needed to assess Drobot’s cooperation as a witness. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said in court filings that Drobot is expected to testify in related cases. His cooperation may affect “whether and to what extent the government makes a motion for a reduced sentence.&rdquo...
