IWIF Leads 98 other Carriers in Comp Market

The Injured Workers' Insurance Fund (IWIF) held a 23.1% share of the workers' compensation market in Maryland during 2011 and remained the largest writer of workers' compensation insurance in the state, the Maryland Insurance Administration reported.The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) released its 2012 annual report last week and said 99 insurance groups provided workers' compensation coverage last year and generated $741.3 million in written premium.
