Bill to Alter DWC Notification Requirements Headed to Governor's Desk

Gov. Greg Abbott will soon receive another workers' compensation bill from the Texas Legislature now that the Senate has passed HB 2061. The bill, by Rep. Rene Oliveira, D-Brownsville, requires the claimants, employers or carriers who seek judicial review of decisions made during the Division of Workers' Compensation's dispute resolution process to provide DWC a copy of the petition for judicial review.
