Lawmakers Pass Bill Reducing Ownership Threshold for Comp Exemption

Montana lawmakers passed a bill that would lower the ownership threshold for officers at private corporations and managers of limited liability companies to be exempted from workers’ compensation. Most employers in Montana are required to carry workers’ compensation coverage for all their employees.
