Home Improvement Work Leads to Fraud Charge Against Claimant

A Connecticut claimant who set out to improve his home and yard while collecting workers' compensation benefits faces a workers' compensation fraud charge, the state Division of Criminal Justice said. Niko Nasto of Wolcott collected $57,000 in benefits after reporting a back injury in April 2014 while working as a door assembler for Stanley Black and Decker in Farmington, the division said.
