Professional, Institutional Service Fee Schedules Effective on Wednesday

The North Carolina Industrial Commission has posted notice that three new or revised rules for its hospital fee schedule will go into effect on Wednesday. The professional-services fee schedule provides new CPT code multipliers for 1995 North Carolina Medicare values. The institutional-services fee guide caps inpatient reimbursements at 190% of a hospital’s facility-specific amount established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Studies.
