A former U.S. Postal Service employee pleaded guilty to four counts of making false statements to receive federal workers’ compensation benefits, the U.S. Justice Department announced.
Christopher Gleason, 36, of Auburn, New York, was collecting workers’ compensation benefits for a sprained ankle suffered in January 2022. To continue receiving benefits, he regularly submitted forms that, among other things, claimed he was not working anywhere else.
