California Gov. Gavin Newsom enacted a bill creating an advisory committee to study the effects of extreme heat on workers, businesses and the state economy. Newsom on Friday signed AB 1643, by Assemblyman Robert Rivas, D-Salinas. AB 1643 creates a study group to analyze the effects of high heat on workers, businesses and the state’s economy.
