Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin denied any impropriety in her demand that the chair of the Workers Compensation Commission step down after the Senate minority leader said her interference undermined every decision that the 3-year old agency has rendered.
Sen. John Sparks, the Democratic leader in the upper chamber, on Thursday condemned the Republican governor's "intermeddling." He said "there's no reason for the public to have any confidence in any determination made by anybody related to the executive branch in Oklahoma," given the governor's conduct.
