Highlands County, Florida, has adopted new workers’ compensation policies and procedures after years of increasing losses and workers’ compensation premiums, according to Highlands Today.
The new procedures came from three months’ worth of work from a five-person committee, which formulated a policy that County Risk Management Coordinator Sheri Bennett said is stricter for employees.
