Worker Gets Summary Judgment for Scaffold Accident

A New York appellate court overturned a grant of summary judgment to a property owner for a worker who fell from a scaffold. Case: Gonzalez v. Romero, No. 1092 CA 19-00903, 12/20/2019, published. Facts: Josue Romero hired Joel Gonzalez to stain the exterior of a barn in order to prepare it for use as an event center for weddings and other celebrations.
