The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance announced that businesses, on average, will pay 8.4% less for workers’ compensation coverage starting Oct. 1.
The eighth consecutive work comp rate cut is expected to save employers about $148 million in premiums.
The insurance commissioner’s office said in a statement that the lower rates reflect employers’ attention to workplace safety.
