Court Overturns Denial of PPD Award for Worker With History of Severe Hip Issues

The New Mexico Court of Appeals overturned a denial of permanent partial disability benefits to a worker with a history of severe hip problems for an injury from falling from the third step of a ladder. Case: Molinar v. Larry Reetz Construction, No. 35,219, 08/17/2017, published. Facts: Jaime Molinar injured his right hip in 2002. He underwent surgery for the installation of hip screws and a side plate. After recovering from this procedure, Molinar began working for Larry Reetz Construction.
