Consumer Affairs Department Fines 21 Unlicensed Movers After Sting Operation

New Jersey regulators have fined 21 movers after a sting operation called "Operation Mother's Attic," which aimed to catch moving companies working without a license. Investigators from the state consumer affairs department posed as consumers at a Bernardsville public storage facility, hiring movers to pick up items over the course of five days in October.
