New Jersey regulators have fined 21 movers after a sting operation called "Operation Mother's Attic," which aimed to catch moving companies working without a license.
Investigators from the state consumer affairs department posed as consumers at a Bernardsville public storage facility, hiring movers to pick up items over the course of five days in October.
The following companies were issued a $2,500 fine for operating without a license:
QMS Plus Pro Movers, Paramus.
House Movers, Secaucus.
Aron Day Mov. & Delivery, Nyack, New York.
