Rule Change Would Remove Certificates of Deposits as Acceptable Security

The Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission is accepting comments through Dec. 14 on a proposed rule change that would remove certificates of deposits as acceptable securities for self-insured employers. The proposed change would strike one sentence from Rule 99.05 deleting certificates of deposits from state or nationally chartered banks as an acceptable security deposit and add a sentence stating that certificates of deposits will no longer be accepted.
