Comp Bills Set to Take Effect

Bills authorizing fines for employers that retaliate against workers who file comp claims, allowing attorney fees for lawyers representing workers in medical disputes, and creating a study group to investigate hospital costs in Utah are set to take effect today. A fourth bill increasing supplemental temporary disability benefits for workers with dependents will take effect July 1. Bills that take effect today include SB 64 and SB 92, by Sen.
