The Florida Division of Administrative Hearings is asking for about $2 million in additional funding in its budget for the upcoming year to give workers’ compensation judges a pay raise.
According to budget documents, DOAH has requested that the salary for a judge of compensation claims be equal to that of a county court judge, and that the deputy chief judge salary be $1,000 more than that for a JCC.
That would increase the annual salary of a judge of compensation claims, from $124,564 to $151,822, and the deputy chief judge of compensation claims, from $127,422 to $152,822.
